Hey there! I'm Rebecca Taylor, your retreat hostess with the mostest!

I'm all about transformation, both in life and in my two-decade journey throughout the beauty industry. I embarked on my own healing journey in 2020. I discovered that I was not JUST my work and my identity was so much more than what I did and how I made a living....but rather who I innately am.

Since then, I've been devoted to not just evolving in my craft; but I'm called to a deeper mission now, which is personal growth and empowering others to embrace their own journeys of self-improvement.

With a community of over 600,000 followers and having shared my expertise across 38 countries, my focus is on meaningful connections and real talk about evolving as individuals.

My philosophy is simple: keep evolving. Whether it's gaining education in your craft, implementing a new processing modality or tackling a personal challenge, it's all about moving forward, staying curious, and being open to learning. My approach is down-to-earth and all about supporting each other through the ups and downs of life and trying to find the silver lining while doing it.

 

In short, I'm your go-to for genuine encouragement, practical but profound mindset shifts and a reminder that growth and change are not just possible but something to be embraced, in both our personal lives and careers.

My WHY and Vision
behind this retreat...

So, you know how Thailand is quite literally my absolute favorite place on this planet? We're actually retiring there in 7 years...nuts right?! Well, after going there 10 times (yes, I'm obsessed), I couldn't resist the urge to create something amazing on this magical land, immersed in the most beautiful culture. And let me tell you, I've been on so many retreats around the world, I'm practically a retreat fiend at this point! I've been compiling a mental inventory of what I liked and what I would do differently. So, I'm doing it!

 

Picture this: I recently attended a yoga retreat in Koh Samui and it was pure bliss. I stayed at the Samahita Retreat center and OMG, it was love at first sight. The energy, the serenity, the food, the private beachside property, the spa, the whole vibe—I immediately knew deep down in my soul that it was time for me to plan my own retreat, and it HAD to be at Samahita. Trust me, this place is seriously something special. I literally started planning this retreat, paid the deposit and signed the contract after 1 week of returning home. When you know in your gut, you know!

 

Now, let's talk about play and tapping into our inner child. It's always been a core value of mine. Brene Brown says it's even the main marker for someone who is living a  'whole-hearted' life. I feel that and agree with her! And you know what? Here's where I am and what I feel on a SOUL level- after the last few years of diving deep into the heavy stuff, healing collective and personal trauma and focusing on that kind of inner work, I believe it's time to throw a big, joyful celebration! We've earned it, right? I sure know I want to live life to the fullest, explore the world, and have a blast with a bunch of awesome, like-minded humans. And that's exactly why the PLAY with PURPOSE retreat was born!

Play with Purpose 2025 Retreat:
7-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Koh Samui February 1st

  • Welcome to Koh Samui! Arrival at Koh Samui International Airport.

  • Transfer to the all-inclusive retreat center.

  • Check-in and settle into your accommodations.

  • Orientation session: Meet and greet with fellow participants and retreat leaders.

  • Welcome dinner featuring local Thai delicacies.

  • Relaxation time to unwind and prepare for the days ahead.

 

Day 2: Retreat Kickoff and Content Workshops

  • Morning yoga session overlooking the serene beaches of Koh Samui.

  • Breakfast at the retreat center.

  • Opening ceremony and intention setting for the retreat.

  • Content creation workshop: Strategies for effective branding and storytelling.

  • Lunch at the retreat center.

  • Guided nature walk around the retreat center grounds.

  • Evening relaxation with sunset meditation on the beach.

 

Day 3: Adventure and Cultural Immersion

  • Breakfast at the retreat center.

  • Excursion to a nearby elephant sanctuary: Participate in ethical elephant interactions and learn about conservation efforts.

  • Lunch picnic amidst the lush tropical surroundings.

  • Visit to local temples: Explore the spiritual heritage of Koh Samui.

  • Dinner at a traditional Thai restaurant.

  • Optional evening stroll along the beach or relaxation at the retreat center's spa facilities.

 

Day 4: Wellness and Creativity

  • Morning yoga and meditation session to center the mind and body.

  • Breakfast at the retreat center.

  • Somatic laughter therapy session: Release stress and tension through laughter and movement.

  • Creative content workshop: Exploring visual storytelling and photography.

  • Lunch at the retreat center.

  • Afternoon free time for personal reflection, relaxation, or optional spa services.

  • Sunset photoshoot at a scenic spot on the island.

  • Dinner featuring a fusion of Thai and international cuisines.

 

Day 5: Nature Exploration and Waterfall Bathing

  • Breakfast at the retreat center.

  • Guided hike through the lush rainforest to discover hidden waterfalls.

  • Waterfall bathing experience: Refresh and rejuvenate in the natural pools.

  • Picnic lunch amidst the sounds of nature.

  • Afternoon relaxation with optional hammock time or guided meditation.

  • Dinner at the retreat center.

  • Evening bonfire and storytelling session under the starlit sky.

 

Day 6: Beach Day and Night Market Excursion

  • Morning yoga session on the beach to greet the day with gratitude.

  • Breakfast at the retreat center.

  • Beach day activities: Choose from paddleboarding, kayaking, or simply lounging by the sea.

  • Lunch at a beachside restaurant.

  • Visit to a local night market: Experience the vibrant atmosphere and indulge in street food delights.

  • Optional evening activities include Thai massage sessions or cultural performances.

  • Farewell dinner celebration with live music and dance.

 

Day 7: Reflection and Departure February 8th

  • Sunrise meditation session by the beach for reflection and gratitude.

  • Breakfast at the retreat center.

  • Closing circle: Share insights, experiences, and intentions for the future.

  • Free time for personal reflection or last-minute souvenir shopping.

  • Check-out from the retreat center and transfer to Koh Samui International Airport for departure flights.

  • End of the Play with Purpose 2025 Retreat in Koh Samui, Thailand.

 

This itinerary offers a balanced blend of adventure, cultural immersion, wellness activities, and creative workshops, all within the serene and inclusive environment of a retreat center in Koh Samui, Thailand.

  • TO RESERVE - Secure your spot with a 25% non-refundable deposit or pay in full

  • Automatic payment plans are available in 6 installments (extended until May 21st 2024)

  • Payment begins the same day of the reservation  

  • Retreat must be paid in full by October 1, 2024

  • Beachfront upgrades available upon request by reaching out to Samahita directly, paying a premium

  • NOTE- Shared room options have separate living/sleeping spaces with a shared bathroom. Very spacious

  • Rooms are limited and we WILL SELL OUT QUICKLY, certain room types quicker than others
